To book, contact WOW Egypt Tours via the contact page, WhatsApp, or email at booking@WOWEgyptTours.com with your preferred travel dates, group size, itinerary direction, and any optional extras you want included. A dedicated advisor confirms cabin availability, provides a clear itemized quote, and secures your booking with a deposit. The balance is payable before or upon arrival in Egypt. A dedicated advisor manages your full cruise package from first inquiry through to the end of your trip with no hidden charges. Browse all available Standard cruise boats and current pricing on the Standard Nile Cruises page, or use the Tailor-Made Experience tool to build a custom Egypt package around your cruise.
Yes. A Standard Nile Cruise pairs easily with additional Egypt destinations before or after the sailing. Nights in Cairo for the Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and Khan el-Khalili can be added via a one-hour domestic flight to Luxor or Aswan. A beach extension in Hurghada on the Red Sea coast connects to Luxor by short domestic flight or private road transfer. Extra nights in Aswan cover Elephantine Island, Kitchener's Island, and the Nubian villages, while extra nights in Luxor allow additional West Bank visits. Browse all combination options in the Egypt tour packages or Egypt travel packages sections.
Yes. An optional excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples by road or by domestic flight can be arranged from Aswan as an add-on to any Standard Nile Cruise itinerary. For travelers wanting to go further south by water, the WOW Team can also combine a Standard Nile Cruise with a Lake Nasser Cruise from Aswan all the way to Abu Simbel in one seamless package.
All four categories of Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruise include the same private Egyptologist guide, private air-conditioned vehicle, full board, and all entrance fees. The difference lies in the cruise boat itself. Cabin size, deck facilities, dining quality, sun deck space, and overall on-board comfort increase with each category. If covering the maximum number of sites with a fully private guide at the most accessible price is the priority, the Standard Nile Cruise is the right choice. Travelers wanting larger cabins and a higher on-board experience can upgrade to a Deluxe Nile Cruise, an Ultra-Deluxe Nile Cruise, or a Luxury Nile Cruise.
Standard Nile Cruises from Luxor depart every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Standard Nile Cruises from Aswan depart every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The high frequency of departures in both directions means the WOW Team can fit a Standard Nile Cruise into almost any travel schedule across 2026, 2027, and 2028. Always verify the specific departure schedule of your chosen cruise boat on its individual page before booking, as schedules vary slightly by vessel.
Every Standard Nile River Cruise booked through WOW Egypt Tours is 100% private. You travel only with your own group or family. The Egyptologist guide assigned to your cruise is exclusively yours for the full duration of the itinerary, and all shore visits are privately arranged with no waiting for other passengers. On board, the cruise boat carries other guests in their own cabins, but all sightseeing, guiding, and transfers are private to your party throughout.
Both the 4-day and 5-day Standard Nile Cruise programs cover the same core temples and monuments. The 4 Days / 3 Nights cruise departs from Aswan and sails north to Luxor, covering the full route in the most compact format available. The 5 Days / 4 Nights cruise departs from Luxor and sails south to Aswan at a slightly more relaxed pace with a little more time at each stop. The choice between the two comes down to your starting city and the number of nights you have available on the river.
The Standard Nile Cruise covers every major monument on the route between Luxor and Aswan. The Luxor East Bank program includes Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. The Luxor West Bank covers the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Sailing between the two cities, the cruise stops at Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple. In Aswan, the program includes Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Aswan High Dam.
Standard Nile River Cruise prices start from $602 per person across both itinerary lengths. Two program options are available: the 4 Days / 3 Nights cruise from Aswan to Luxor, and the 5 Days / 4 Nights cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Rates vary by season, with different prices for summer, winter, Christmas, New Year, and Easter. All prices include the same private guide, full board, private transfers, and all entrance fees regardless of the itinerary selected.
A Standard Nile River Cruise between Luxor and Aswan is the most affordable way to experience a fully private, all-inclusive Egypt Nile Cruise. Every Standard cruise package through WOW Egypt Tours includes a private professional Egyptologist guide for the full duration of the cruise, a private air-conditioned vehicle and driver for all shore transfers, full-board accommodation on board with breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, a private cabin with en-suite bathroom, and all entrance fees to every site on the itinerary. Standard Nile Cruise packages start from $602 per person with no hidden costs.
WOW Egypt Tours operates a curated selection of 5-star Dahabiya Nile River Cruises sailing between Luxor and Aswan on traditional Egyptian sailing boats, each carrying a small number of private cabins exclusively for your group. Prices start from $1,132 per person and every cruise includes a private professional Egyptologist guide, private air-conditioned transfers, full board on board, a private cabin with en-suite bathroom, and all entrance fees throughout. Both 4-day and 5-day itineraries are available in either direction. The WOW Team advises on the best boat for your travel dates, group size, and cabin preference when you send your enquiry.
Dahabiya Nile Cruises run on two itinerary lengths. The 5 Days / 4 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan is the most popular option, departing from Luxor every Monday and Saturday and sailing south at a relaxed and unhurried pace. The 4 Days / 3 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor departs from Aswan every Wednesday and Friday and sails north. Both itineraries visit the same core temples and monuments along the Nile River Valley, with the longer itinerary allowing additional riverside stops.
The Dahabiya Nile Cruise combines major ancient temples with rare riverside stops that no standard Nile cruise ever visits. Guided shore visits include the Temple of Khnum at Esna, the El Kab Tombs, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the ancient sandstone quarries of Gebel el-Silsila, the Temple of Kom Ombo, Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Aswan High Dam. The Dahabiya also moors at quiet island stops including El Hagaz Island and Herdiab Island, with opportunities to swim or kayak when conditions allow.
Every Dahabiya Nile Cruise package includes a private professional Egyptologist guide for the full duration of the cruise, a private air-conditioned vehicle and driver for all shore transfers, full-board accommodation on board with breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared fresh daily, a private cabin with en-suite bathroom, and all entrance fees to every site on the itinerary. The Philae Temple Sound and Light Show is included on the 5-day itinerary and available as an optional extra on the 4-day itinerary. There are no hidden costs. Domestic flights between Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan can be added when required.
A Dahabiya Nile Cruise and a classic Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruise cover many of the same sites on the same river but offer completely different experiences. The Dahabiya carries far fewer guests, sails at a slower pace, and moors at quiet islands and riverside villages rather than busy cruise boat docks. A classic Nile Cruise on a larger boat offers more cabin categories across Standard, Deluxe, Ultra Deluxe, and Luxury options, more on-board facilities, and more departure days each week. Both include a private Egyptologist guide, full board, private transfers, and all entrance fees. For the most complete Nile experience, WOW Egypt Tours recommends combining both.
The 4 Days / 3 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor starts from $1,132 per person in a double cabin (twin or king bed). The 5 Days / 4 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan starts from $1,332 per person in a double cabin. Single cabin rates start from $1,440 per person and suite rates from $1,620 per person based on 2 guests. Prices vary by cabin type, season, and itinerary. All rates include a private guide, private transfers, full board, and all entrance fees with no hidden costs.
Both the 4-day and 5-day Dahabiya itineraries visit the same core temples and monuments along the Nile River Valley. The 4-day cruise departs from Aswan and sails north to Luxor in a more compact program. The 5-day cruise departs from Luxor and sails south to Aswan at a more relaxed pace, with additional time at island moorings and riverside village stops that the shorter itinerary cannot accommodate. Travelers who want more sailing time and a deeper experience of the Nile should choose the 5-day program.
Yes. For larger families or groups, WOW Egypt Tours can arrange a fully private Dahabiya chartered exclusively for your party. A private charter gives your group complete use of the entire boat, with total flexibility over the daily schedule, meal times, and pace of the itinerary. Private charter Dahabiya Nile Cruises are available on all itinerary lengths and directions. For a fully bespoke program built around your group's interests and dates, contact the WOW Team via the contact page or use the Tailor-Made Experience tool.
Yes. A Dahabiya Nile Cruise pairs naturally with additional destinations before or after the sailing. A private day trip or overnight stay at the Abu Simbel Temples can be added from Aswan by road or by flight. For the most complete Nile experience, the cruise can be combined with a Lake Nasser Cruise from Aswan all the way to Abu Simbel by water. Nights in Cairo for the Giza Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and Khan el-Khalili can also be added via domestic flight. Browse all combination options in the Egypt tour packages or Egypt travel packages sections.
Yes, early booking is strongly recommended. Dahabiya boats carry a small number of cabins and depart only once or twice per week in each direction, so cabins sell out several weeks ahead during peak seasons including October to April, Christmas, New Year, and Easter. To book, contact WOW Egypt Tours via the contact page, WhatsApp, or email at booking@WOWEgyptTours.com. A deposit secures your cabin with the balance payable before or upon arrival in Egypt. A dedicated advisor manages your full cruise package from first inquiry through to the end of your trip with no hidden charges. Browse all available options on the Dahabiya Nile Cruises page.
WOW Egypt Tours offers two 5-star Lake Nasser Cruises sailing between Aswan and Abu Simbel. The Mövenpick Prince Abbas Lake Nasser Cruise starts from $826 per person, and the Steigenberger Omar El Khayam Lake Nasser Cruise starts from $1,056 per person. Both operate 4-day and 5-day itineraries and include a professional Egyptologist guide, private air-conditioned transfers, full board on board, a private cabin with en-suite bathroom and balcony, and all entrance fees throughout.
Lake Nasser Cruises run on two itinerary lengths. The 5 Days / 4 Nights Lake Nasser Cruise from Aswan to Abu Simbel departs every Monday from Aswan and is the most popular option, allowing a relaxed pace across the full temple route. The 4 Days / 3 Nights Lake Nasser Cruise from Abu Simbel to Aswan departs every Friday from Abu Simbel and sails north. Both itineraries visit the same core temples and monuments along Lake Nasser.
The Lake Nasser Cruise visits a series of ancient Nubian temples relocated before the lake's waters rose after the construction of the Aswan High Dam, many of which are accessible only by water. Sites visited include the Abu Simbel Temples, Amada Temple, Wadi El Seboua, Kalabsha Temple, Derr Temple, the Tomb of Pennut, Dakka Temple, and Maharraqa Temple, along with panoramic views of Qasr Ibrim from the water. In Aswan, the program includes Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Aswan High Dam.
Every Lake Nasser Cruise package includes a professional Egyptologist guide for all temple visits, a private air-conditioned vehicle and driver for all shore transfers, full-board accommodation on board with breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, a private high-deck cabin with en-suite bathroom and balcony, all entrance fees to every site on the itinerary, and all service charges and taxes. Domestic flights between Cairo, Aswan, and Abu Simbel can be added when required. There are no hidden costs. Always verify inclusions on each individual cruise page before booking.
A Lake Nasser Cruise and a classic Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruise are two entirely different journeys. The Nile Cruise sails between Luxor and Aswan visiting Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, and Kom Ombo. The Lake Nasser Cruise sails south of Aswan on a vast remote reservoir visiting relocated Nubian temples including Abu Simbel, Amada, and Wadi El Seboua that are completely inaccessible on a standard Nile Cruise. For the most complete Egypt river journey, WOW Egypt Tours recommends combining both.
The Abu Simbel Solar Alignment is an ancient astronomical phenomenon that occurs twice a year, on 22 February and 22 October, when the rising sun travels 65 metres through the entrance of the Great Temple of Ramesses II and illuminates the seated statues of Ramesses II, Amun-Ra, and Ra-Horakhty in the innermost sanctuary, while the statue of Ptah, god of darkness, remains unlit. This was deliberately engineered by the ancient builders over 3,000 years ago. Travelers wishing to witness this event should book their Lake Nasser Cruise well in advance as departures closest to these dates fill earlier than any other in the sailing calendar.
Yes. An optional evening Sound and Light Show at the Abu Simbel Temples is available on all Lake Nasser Cruise itineraries. Because the cruise docks at Abu Simbel overnight, travelers have the rare opportunity to visit both temples in full daylight with a professional Egyptologist guide and then experience the illuminated Sound and Light Show after dark. The WOW Team arranges all tickets and transfers for the show as part of your cruise program on request.
Lake Nasser Cruises depart year-round. The most comfortable months for sailing and outdoor sightseeing at the temples are October through April, when temperatures in southern Egypt are mild. May through September brings intense heat, though cruises continue to operate and the temples are far less crowded during this period. Christmas, New Year, and Easter are peak periods with higher prices and earlier booking requirements. Travelers interested in the Abu Simbel Solar Alignment should plan their cruise around 22 February or 22 October. The WOW Team advises on the best travel dates based on your preferences and budget.
Yes. The Lake Nasser Cruise is well suited to families travelling with children. The 5-star cruise boats offer comfortable cabins, full-board dining, open sun decks, swimming pools, and a relaxed pace with shore visits spread across the itinerary. Children aged 2 to 5 are charged 25% of the adult price, children aged 6 to 11 are charged 50%, and children under 2 travel free when sharing a cabin with parents. The WOW Team can advise on the best cabin configuration and itinerary for families of different sizes and ages.
Lake Nasser Cruise boats have a limited number of cabins and depart only once per week in each direction, so early booking is strongly recommended. Cabins sell out several weeks ahead during peak seasons and around the February and October Solar Alignment dates. Browse all available options on the Lake Nasser Cruises page, or use the Tailor-Made Experience tool to combine your cruise with additional Egypt destinations.

Think light, breathable, and modest. Loose cotton or linen clothing works brilliantly in the heat and dries fast. Inside temples, mosques, and religious sites, covered shoulders and knees are required, so a lightweight scarf or wrap folds into any bag and solves the problem instantly. Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes matter more than you might expect as ancient surfaces are uneven. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are non-negotiable in summer. A small reusable water bottle is a good idea everywhere. For desert or Sinai trips, pack a warm layer as nights drop sharply once the sun goes down. Find destination-specific tips in our Wiki and Guides section.
This is genuinely what we do best. Through our tailor-made experience, your advisor starts from scratch with your travel dates, the destinations you care about, the pace you prefer, your accommodation style, and your budget, then builds an itinerary around all of it. Want to add a sunrise hot air balloon over Luxor, a private yacht on the Nile, a marriage proposal at Abu Simbel, a family trip mapped around your children's interests, or a wheelchair-accessible route through the Pyramids? All of it is possible and all of it has been done before.
Start with a message through our contact page, WhatsApp, or email at booking@WOWEgyptTours.com. From that first message you will deal with one dedicated advisor who designs the itinerary, answers every question, and manages your trip from start to finish. A deposit secures your dates and the balance can be paid before arrival or on arrival in Egypt, depending on the package. Your advisor confirms the available payment methods for your specific booking. There are no surprise charges along the way.
Absolutely. WOW Egypt Tours specialises in shore excursions from Egypt's main cruise ports including Alexandria for Cairo and the Pyramids, Port Said for Cairo, Safaga for Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, and Sokhna. Your guide meets you directly at the dock, the itinerary is timed precisely to get you back well before all-aboard, and everything runs in a private vehicle with no waiting around. Just share your ship name, port of call, and docking time when you get in touch and we handle the rest.
Egypt's main tourist destinations including Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and the Red Sea coast are active, heavily visited, and well-policed. Millions of international travelers move through these areas every year without incident. WOW Egypt Tours operates exclusively with licensed Egyptologist guides and vetted, experienced drivers. Your vehicle is modern and air-conditioned, your guide is a certified professional, and your advisor is reachable on WhatsApp, email, or phone around the clock throughout your trip. We watch the logistics so you can focus entirely on the experience.
Our pricing is transparent from the start. Every package covers airport meet-and-assist, private air-conditioned transport between all destinations, your accommodation with Nile-view, Pyramids-view, or sea-view rooms wherever available, a licensed Egyptologist guide, and all entry fees to the listed sites. Nile cruises are fully full-board. What sits outside the package price are international flights, optional extras like the sunrise hot air balloon over Luxor or the Abu Simbel Sound and Light Show, and tipping. Every listing on our trips page lists inclusions line by line, and your advisor walks you through everything before you confirm.
Every WOW Egypt Tours program is 100% private. You travel with your own group, whether that is two of you or a family of ten, with a dedicated Egyptologist guide and a private vehicle throughout. There are no shared buses, no waiting for other guests, and no fixed group schedules to follow. If you want to linger longer at the Valley of the Kings or skip a site that does not interest you, just say so. The tour moves at your pace, not ours. See how we tailor every trip around you.
Think of it as three completely different experiences on the same river. A classic Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan travels on a well-appointed boat with full board and private guided visits to Karnak, Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae Temple over 4, 5 or 8 days. A Dahabiya is a small traditional wooden sailing vessel carrying just a handful of guests. It stops at islands and villages the big boats never reach and feels much closer to how 19th-century travellers experienced the Nile. A Lake Nasser cruise sails south of the Aswan High Dam toward Abu Simbel, visiting ancient temples relocated when the lake was formed and almost impossible to reach any other way.
October through April is when most visitors fall in love with Egypt. Temperatures across Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan are genuinely comfortable, warm and sunny during the day and pleasantly cool in the evenings. The Nile cruise season is at its best between November and March. If you are heading to the Red Sea including Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, or Marsa Alam, the water is inviting almost year-round. Summer brings intense heat inland but noticeably lower prices and quieter sites, which some travellers genuinely prefer. Christmas, New Year, and Easter are peak seasons with a wonderful atmosphere, though booking early is essential.
Getting into Egypt is genuinely easy. Most nationalities receive a 30-day visa on arrival at Cairo, Luxor, and Hurghada airports for just USD 30, paid in cash at the bank counter before immigration. If you prefer to sort it before you fly, Egypt's official e-Visa takes 3 to 5 business days and costs the same amount. Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date. When you book with WOW Egypt Tours, your dedicated advisor confirms your exact visa route before anything else, so there is no guesswork on your end.
