Start your tour with a visit to the Giza Pyramids, one of the most important ancient Egyptian sites and one of the main highlights of any Cairo tour. The Giza Pyramids Complex was built during the 4th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2600 BC to 2500 BC, and includes the three main pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes matter more than you might expect as ancient surfaces are uneven. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are non-negotiable in summer.
