Arrival in Abu Simbel
Upon your arrival at Abu Simbel Airport (ABS), your hotel in Abu Simbel, or your location in Abu Simbel, your WOW Egypt Tours representative and driver will meet you and assist with luggage before starting the transfer to your 5★ Lake Nasser Cruise.

Transfer to Your Cruise
You will be transferred by private modern air-conditioned vehicle to the cruise docking area in Abu Simbel. Your representative and driver will assist during the transfer, and upon arrival at the port, the cruise bell staff will collect your luggage directly from the vehicle and deliver it to reception for check-in.

Lake Nasser Cruise Check-in
Upon boarding your 5★ Lake Nasser Cruise, complete the check-in formalities at reception. The cruise staff will assist you and ensure a comfortable start to your Lake Nasser cruise program. Afterwards, proceed to your cabin and store your luggage.

Abu Simbel Temples Tour
Start your sightseeing with the Abu Simbel Temples, also known as the Temples of Abu Simbel, one of the most important ancient Egyptian monuments in Nubia. The temples were built by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty in the 13th century BC, about 280 km (174 miles) southwest of Aswan.
The Great Temple of Ramses II is dedicated to Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, Ptah, and Ramses II himself. The temple façade is known for its four colossal seated statues of Ramses II, each about 20 meters (66 feet) high, carved directly into the rock.
The Small Temple, also known as the Temple of Nefertari or the Temple of Hathor, is dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Queen Nefertari, the royal wife of Ramses II. Its façade includes statues of Ramses II and Nefertari, each about 10 meters (33 feet) high, showing the important position of Queen Nefertari in the royal and religious program of the site.
Both temples were relocated during the 1960s UNESCO Nubian monuments rescue campaign to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Sound & Light Show at Abu Simbel (Optional)
In the evening, attend the Abu Simbel Sound & Light Show, subject to operation on the day of your visit. The show uses light projections and narration to present the story of Ramses II, Queen Nefertari, the temples, and the relocation project.
The Sound & Light Show gives a different view of Abu Simbel after sunset and helps visitors understand the historical and symbolic value of the temples in a clear visual presentation.

Early Sail to Kasr Ibrim
Begin the day with an early sailing towards Kasr Ibrim while your 5★ Lake Nasser Cruise continues north across Lake Nasser. Lake Nasser was created after the construction of the Aswan High Dam between 1960 and 1970 and extends for about 500 km (310 miles) through southern Egypt and northern Sudan.
Kasr Ibrim is the only major Nubian monument that remained in its original location after the construction of the Aswan High Dam and the creation of Lake Nasser. Before the flooding of Lower Nubia, the site stood above the Nile Valley as a strategic point controlling the surrounding region.

View Kasr Ibrim from the Sundeck
From the sundeck, enjoy panoramic views of Kasr Ibrim, one of the important archaeological sites of Lower Nubia. The site was once a fortress, religious center, and administrative location overlooking the Nile Valley before the creation of Lake Nasser.
Kasr Ibrim has archaeological history connected with different periods, including Pharaonic, Meroitic, Christian, and Islamic phases. The site is not accessible to visitors, so the visit is made as a panoramic view from the cruise. Your guide will explain the historical importance of the site, its Nubian setting, and why it remains one of the most distinctive monuments along Lake Nasser.

Sailing to Amada
After viewing Kasr Ibrim, the cruise sails north towards Amada, one of the most important temple areas on Lake Nasser. You may spend time on the sundeck or in the lounge while the cruise continues through the lake and desert scenery.

In the afternoon, tea and light snacks are served onboard as the cruise continues across Lake Nasser before the sightseeing visit in the Amada area.

Temple of Amada Tour
Visit the Temple of Amada, one of the oldest surviving temples in Nubia. The temple was originally built during the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom by Thutmose III and Amenhotep II in the 15th century BC, then later completed by Thutmose IV.
The Temple of Amada was dedicated to Amun-Ra and Ra-Horakhty. It is known for its preserved wall paintings, inscriptions, and historical scenes connected with New Kingdom military campaigns and royal religious activity in Nubia.
The temple was relocated in the 1960s during the Nubian monuments rescue campaign to protect it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. During your visit, your Egyptologist guide will explain the temple’s construction phases, its relocation history, and its importance as one of the main monuments of Lake Nasser.

Temple of Derr Tour
Continue to the Temple of Derr, a rock-cut temple built during the reign of Ramses II in the 19th Dynasty, around the 13th century BC. The temple was dedicated to Ra-Horakhty and was originally cut into the rock near the Nile before being relocated to protect it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
The Temple of Derr is known for its hypostyle hall and relief scenes showing Ramses II making offerings to the gods. Your guide will explain the temple’s religious function, its artistic details, and its connection with Ramses II’s building activity in Nubia.
The temple is one of several Nubian monuments connected with Ramses II, who ruled for about 66 years, from 1279 BC to 1213 BC, and built many temples across Egypt and Nubia.

Tomb of Pennut Tour
Visit the Tomb of Pennut, also written as Tomb of Penout, an important decorated tomb relocated near Amada. Pennut was a Nubian official connected with the administration of Lower Nubia during the New Kingdom period.
The tomb is dated to the reign of Ramses VI of the 20th Dynasty, around the 12th century BC. Pennut served as a local official in Nubia, and his tomb gives useful evidence about Egyptian administration and local elite life in the region.

Wadi El Seboua Temple Tour
Visit the Temples of Wadi El Seboua, also known as Wadi El Seboua Temple, one of the main Nubian monuments along Lake Nasser. The temple was built by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty in the 13th century BC and was dedicated to Amun-Ra and Ra-Horakhty.
Wadi El Seboua means "Valley of the Lions" because of the sphinx-lined avenue that leads toward the temple entrance. The site includes statues, courts, and relief scenes connected with Ramses II and his royal building activity in Nubia.

Temple of Dakka Tour
Continue to the Temple of Dakka, a Nubian temple dedicated to Thoth, the god of wisdom and writing. The temple was originally built in the 3rd century BC and later expanded during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods.
The temple includes a pylon, courtyard, sanctuary, and relief scenes that show the mixed influence of Nubian, Egyptian, Ptolemaic, and Roman religious traditions. Your guide will explain the temple’s construction phases and its importance among the relocated monuments of Lake Nasser.

Temple of Meharakka Tour
Visit the Temple of Meharakka, a small Roman-period monument dating mainly to the 1st to 2nd century AD. The temple is connected with the worship of Serapis and Isis and shows the Greco-Roman influence in Nubia during the Roman period.
The Temple of Meharakka is known for its unusual spiral staircase, a rare architectural feature among Egyptian and Nubian temples. Although the temple was never fully completed, it remains an important example of Roman-period architecture in southern Egypt.

Sailing to Aswan
After visiting Wadi El Seboua Temple, the Temple of Dakka, and the Temple of Meharakka, the cruise sails north across Lake Nasser towards Aswan. You may spend time on the sundeck or in the lounge while viewing the lake and desert landscape.

Arrival in Aswan
Arrive in Aswan, one of the main cities of southern Egypt and the gateway between Egypt and Nubia. Aswan is located about 220 km (137 miles) south of Luxor and is closely connected with Nile history, ancient granite quarries, Nubian culture, and Lake Nasser.
After arrival, the cruise remains docked in Aswan according to the sailing schedule. You may spend time onboard, relax on the sundeck, or prepare for the Aswan sightseeing visits included in the next part of the cruise program.

Nubian Show
In the evening, attend a Nubian Show onboard, according to the cruise entertainment schedule. The show usually includes traditional Nubian music and dance connected with the culture of southern Egypt and Nubia.

Transfer by Motorboat
A motorboat will be waiting for you for a short sail across Lake Nasser to the Kalabsha Temples complex. The transfer gives you a close view of the lake area near Aswan before starting the final sightseeing visits of your Lake Nasser cruise program.

Kalabsha Temple Tour
Visit the Temple of Kalabsha, also known as Kalabsha Temple, one of the most important Nubian monuments near Aswan. The temple dates mainly to the Roman period, around 30 BC, during the reign of Emperor Augustus, and was dedicated to Mandulis, the Nubian sun god.
Kalabsha Temple was built on the foundations of an earlier sanctuary and shows a mix of Egyptian and Roman architectural and religious traditions. The temple includes a pylon, courtyard, hypostyle hall, sanctuary, relief scenes, and inscriptions connected with Nubian and Egyptian worship.
In the 1960s, Kalabsha Temple was relocated stone by stone to protect it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Your guide will explain the relocation project, the temple’s religious function, and its importance among the preserved Nubian monuments.

Beit El Wali Temple Tour
Continue to Beit El Wali Temple, a small rock-cut temple built during the reign of Ramses II in the 19th Dynasty, around the 13th century BC. The temple was dedicated to Amun, Anukis, and Khnum.
Beit El Wali Temple is known for relief scenes showing Ramses II’s military campaigns, offerings to the gods, and scenes connected with Nubia and southern Egypt. The temple gives useful context about Ramses II’s political and religious activity in Nubia.
Like many Nubian temples, Beit El Wali Temple was relocated during the 1960s UNESCO Nubian monuments rescue campaign to protect it from the waters of Lake Nasser.

Kiosk of Qertassi Tour
Visit the Kiosk of Qertassi, a small late Ptolemaic or Roman-period monument dating mainly to the 1st century BC to 1st century AD. The kiosk is known for its elegant columns and compact architectural design.
The structure includes two Hathor-headed columns and additional plain columns, showing the artistic style of the late Ptolemaic and Roman periods in Nubia. It may have functioned as a small chapel or station connected with worship and movement along the Nile.
The Kiosk of Qertassi was also saved during the Nubian monuments rescue campaign and relocated near Kalabsha Temple after the creation of Lake Nasser.

Return to the Cruise
At the end of your visit to Kalabsha Temple, Beit El Wali Temple, and the Kiosk of Qertassi, the motorboat will transfer you back to your cruise for checkout and disembarkation.

Lake Nasser Cruise Check-out
After returning to the cruise, complete the disembarkation formalities from Steigenberger Omar El Khayam Lake Nasser Cruise in Aswan. Prepare your luggage and make sure you have collected all personal belongings from your cabin and the cruise common areas.
Hand over your cabin key at reception and complete the check-out formalities. The cruise bell staff will assist with moving your luggage from the cruise to the vehicle for your onward transfer.

Drop-off
After disembarkation, you will be transferred by private modern air-conditioned vehicle to Aswan International Airport (ASW), Aswan Train Station, your hotel, Nile Cruise, or your agreed final location in Aswan according to your travel plan.
