Arrival in Aswan
Upon your arrival at Aswan International Airport (ASW), Aswan Train Station, your hotel, Nile Cruise, or your location in Aswan, your WOW Egypt Tours representative and driver will meet you and assist with luggage before starting the transfer to your 5★ Lake Nasser Cruise.

Transfer to Your Cruise
You will be transferred by private modern air-conditioned vehicle to the cruise docking area in Aswan. Your representative and driver will assist during the transfer, and upon arrival at the port, the cruise bell staff will collect your luggage directly from the vehicle and deliver it to reception for check-in.

Lake Nasser Cruise Check-in
Upon boarding your 5★ Lake Nasser Cruise, complete the check-in formalities at reception. The cruise staff will assist you and ensure a comfortable start to your Lake Nasser cruise program. Afterwards, proceed to your cabin and store your luggage.

Aswan High Dam Tour
Visit the Aswan High Dam, also known as the High Dam of Aswan, one of Egypt’s most important modern engineering projects. The dam was constructed between 1960 and 1970 to control the annual Nile flood, improve irrigation, and generate hydroelectric power.
The Aswan High Dam is about 3,830 meters (12,565 feet) long and helped create Lake Nasser, which extends for about 500 km (310 miles) through southern Egypt and northern Sudan. Your guide will explain the dam’s role in modern Egypt and its connection with the relocation of Nubian monuments.

Unfinished Obelisk Tour
Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan. The Aswan Obelisk is usually connected with Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th Dynasty, who ruled Egypt in the 15th century BC.
The Unfinished Obelisk would have measured about 42 meters (138 feet) and weighed around 1,200 tons if completed. It was abandoned after cracks appeared in the stone, and today it gives clear evidence of ancient Egyptian quarrying and stone-working techniques.

Philae Temple Tour

Transfer by Motorboat
A motorboat will be waiting for you for a short sail across Lake Nasser to the Kalabsha Temples complex. The transfer gives you close views of the lake area near Aswan before starting the sightseeing visits.

Kalabsha Temple Tour
Visit the Temple of Kalabsha, also known as Kalabsha Temple, one of the most important Nubian monuments near Aswan. The temple dates mainly to the Roman period, around 30 BC, during the reign of Emperor Augustus, and was dedicated to Mandulis, the Nubian sun god.
Kalabsha Temple was built on the foundations of an earlier sanctuary and shows a mix of Egyptian and Roman architectural and religious traditions. The temple includes a pylon, courtyard, hypostyle hall, sanctuary, relief scenes, and inscriptions connected with Nubian and Egyptian worship.
In the 1960s, Kalabsha Temple was relocated stone by stone to protect it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Your guide will explain the relocation project, the temple’s religious function, and its importance among the preserved Nubian monuments.

Beit El Wali Temple Tour

Beit El Wali Temple is known for relief scenes showing Ramses II’s military campaigns, offerings to the gods, and scenes connected with Nubia and southern Egypt. The temple gives useful context about Ramses II’s political and religious activity in Nubia.
Like many Nubian temples, Beit El Wali Temple was relocated during the 1960s UNESCO Nubian monuments rescue campaign to protect it from the waters of Lake Nasser.

Kiosk of Qertassi Tour
Visit the Kiosk of Qertassi, a small late Ptolemaic or Roman-period monument dating mainly to the 1st century BC to 1st century AD. The kiosk is known for its elegant columns and compact architectural design.
The structure includes two Hathor-headed columns and additional plain columns, showing the artistic style of the late Ptolemaic and Roman periods in Nubia. It may have functioned as a small chapel or station connected with worship and movement along the Nile.

After your visit to Kalabsha Temple, Beit El Wali Temple, and the Kiosk of Qertassi, the cruise sails south towards Wadi El Seboua. You may spend time on the sundeck or in the lounge while observing the desert landscape, Lake Nasser views, and quiet sailing route.

Visit the Temples of Wadi El Seboua, also known as Wadi El Seboua Temple, one of the main Nubian monuments along Lake Nasser. The temple was built by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty in the 13th century BC and was dedicated to Amun-Ra and Ra-Horakhty.
Wadi El Seboua means "Valley of the Lions" because of the sphinx-lined avenue that leads toward the temple entrance. The site includes statues, courts, and relief scenes connected with Ramses II and his royal building activity in Nubia.

After viewing Kasr Ibrim, the cruise sails south across Lake Nasser towards Abu Simbel, one of the most important archaeological sites in southern Egypt. Abu Simbel is located about 280 km (174 miles) southwest of Aswan and is known for its two rock-cut temples built by Ramses II.
You may spend time on the sundeck or in the lounge while the cruise continues through the lake and desert scenery towards Abu Simbel.

Lake Nasser Cruise Check-out
After breakfast, complete the check-out formalities from Steigenberger Omar El Khayam Lake Nasser Cruise in Abu Simbel. Prepare your luggage and make sure you have collected all personal belongings from your cabin and the cruise common areas.
Hand over your cabin key at reception and complete the check-out formalities. The cruise bell staff will assist with moving your luggage from the cruise to the vehicle for your onward transfer.

Drop-off
After check-out, you will be transferred by private modern air-conditioned vehicle to Abu Simbel Airport (ABS), your hotel in Abu Simbel, or your agreed final location in Abu Simbel according to your travel plan. A private road transfer from Abu Simbel to Aswan can also be arranged if included in the final confirmation.
