Package Overview

4 Days 3 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor is a 5★ Dahabiya Nile cruise program for travelers who want to sail between Aswan and Luxor while visiting the main temples, villages, islands, and historical sites along the Nile River Valley. The program combines comfortable accommodation with a quiet sailing experience, full-board service, guided sightseeing, and direct visits to important monuments between Aswan, the Nubian City, Kom Ombo, Edfu, and Luxor, the Ancient City.

This 4 Days 3 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise is a fixed program that can be arranged on one of our 12 Dahabiya boats, depending on availability, cabin category, and each Dahabiya's own itinerary and sailing schedule. Cabin type, deck, and suite availability depend on the selected Dahabiya, sailing date, and final confirmation.

This 4 Days 3 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise departs from Aswan every Wednesday and Friday, according to the sailing schedule of the selected Dahabiya and final availability. The cruise can also be arranged as a private Dahabiya cruise for families, private groups, and special travel arrangements.

The cruise visits the main sites between Aswan, the Nubian City and Luxor, the Ancient City in one organized program, running as a 4 Days 3 Nights Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. It is one of the main Dahabiya Nile Cruises, combining a slower sailing experience with full-board accommodation, private transfers, and guided sightseeing.

In Aswan, the program includes the Aswan High Dam, constructed between 1960 and 1970, the Unfinished Obelisk, which would have measured about 42 meters (138 feet) if completed, and Philae Temple, relocated to Agilkia Island during the UNESCO Nubian monuments rescue campaign between 1972 and 1980. You can also add the optional Philae Sound and Light Show, which presents the history of the temple, the worship of Isis, and the story of its relocation.

Sailing between Aswan and Luxor, you will visit Kom Ombo Temple, known also as the Temple of Sobek, famous for its symmetrical double design, and Edfu Temple, also known as the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Depending on the selected Dahabiya and its own itinerary, the route may also include Gebel El Silsila, an ancient sandstone quarry area, and the El Kab Tombs, decorated rock-cut tombs from the New Kingdom period near Edfu.

The Dahabiya route also stops at Nile islands and villages such as Besaw Island, Herdiab Island, Al Ramady Island, and El Hegz Island. These are small islands and villages on the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, used as short stops during the cruise. Travelers can walk along the riverbank, see local farming areas, and view daily rural life in these locations, according to the itinerary of the confirmed Dahabiya.

In Luxor, the program includes the East Bank, home to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, and the West Bank, home to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon.

These sites are among the main Nile River Valley Attractions, Aswan Attractions, and Luxor Attractions for travelers who want to understand temples, tombs, ancient quarries, local villages, Nile islands, and riverside history in one Dahabiya Nile cruise program.

Optional experiences can be added according to your cruise direction and final confirmation. In Aswan, you can add the Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple, the Abu Simbel Tour by Road, or the Abu Simbel Tour by Flight. 1 Day 1: Aswan Sightseeing, Embarkation & Kom Ombo Temple

Arrival in Aswan
Upon your arrival at Aswan International Airport (ASW), Aswan Train Station, your hotel, or your location in Aswan, your WOW Egypt Tours representative and driver will meet you and assist with luggage before starting the Aswan sightseeing program.

Unfinished Obelisk Tour
Visit the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan. The Aswan Obelisk is usually connected with Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th Dynasty, who ruled Egypt in the 15th century BC.
The Unfinished Obelisk would have measured about 42 meters (138 feet) and weighed around 1,200 tons if completed. It was abandoned after cracks appeared in the stone, and today it gives clear evidence of ancient Egyptian quarrying and stone-working techniques.

Philae Temple Tour
Visit Philae Temple, also known as the Temple of Isis or the Temple of Philae, one of the main ancient monuments of Aswan. The temple complex was dedicated mainly to the goddess Isis and includes construction from the Late Period, Ptolemaic period, and Roman period.
Philae Temple was relocated to Agilkia Island during the UNESCO Nubian monuments rescue campaign between 1972 and 1980 after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Your private Egyptologist guide will explain the worship of Isis, the temple reliefs, the Osiris myth, and the relocation project.

We don’t believe in charging our guests simply because their travel plans have changed unexpectedly. However, once a booking is confirmed, we reserve your Dahabiya Cruise cabin, assign a private Egyptologist guide, a private driver, and an air-conditioned vehicle, arrange the required tourism permits, and purchase entrance tickets on your behalf. Any cancellation charge is therefore based on the non-refundable services already booked or paid for, not on a wish to penalize a change of plans.
