The Complete Luxor Full Day Tour covers both banks of the Nile in a single day. The programme visits Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank, and the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, and Medinet Habu Temple on the West Bank. Lunch is included between the two banks.
Optional additions include the Luxor Museum, the Mummification Museum, Ramesseum, Deir el-Medina, the Valley of the Queens, and the Valley of the Nobles. The WOW Team adjusts the itinerary to suit your group's interests and pace.

The Dendera and Abydos Day Tour from Luxor visits two temples north of Luxor that are among the best-preserved in Egypt and far less visited than the main Luxor circuit. The tour departs at 7:00 AM to allow full time at both sites.
Dendera Temple is dedicated to Hathor and is one of the most completely preserved temple complexes in the Nile Valley. It includes the famous astronomical ceiling, Hathor-headed columns, underground crypts, rooftop Osiris chapels, and a replica of the Dendera Zodiac.
Abydos Temple, built by Seti I and completed by Ramesses II, contains the finest painted limestone reliefs in Egypt, the Abydos King List recording 76 royal names from the first dynasty to Seti I, and the subterranean Osireion cenotaph of Seti I.
Prices vary by group size and season. Contact the WOW Team with your travel dates for a full itemized quote. See the Luxor Tours page for full pricing and current availability.
The Kom Ombo and Edfu Day Tour from Luxor travels south along the Nile to visit two of the best-preserved Ptolemaic temples in Egypt, both of which are also visited on the standard Luxor to Aswan Nile Cruise route.
Edfu Temple is the largest Ptolemaic temple in Egypt, dedicated to Horus, with two granite falcon statues at the entrance and complete carved relief walls documenting the mythological battle between Horus and Set.
Kom Ombo Temple is uniquely dedicated to two gods — Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris the falcon god — in a symmetrical double-temple plan. The site includes a working Nilometer, ancient medical instrument carvings, and a Crocodile Museum with mummified crocodiles.
Prices vary by group size and season. Contact the WOW Team with your travel dates for a full itemized quote. See the Luxor Tours page for full pricing and current availability.
The Aswan Day Tour from Luxor travels south to Aswan by private air-conditioned vehicle or first-class private rail and covers the main Aswan monuments in a full guided day. The programme includes Philae Temple by motorboat, the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries, and the Aswan High Dam.
Optional additions include a Nubian Village visit by felucca, Elephantine Island, the Nubian Museum, and Kitchener's Island Botanical Garden.
Prices vary by group size, transport option, and season. Contact the WOW Team with your travel dates for a full itemized quote. See the Luxor Tours page for full pricing and current availability.
The Cairo Day Tour from Luxor travels by domestic flight to Cairo in the early morning and returns to Luxor in the evening. A Professional Egyptologist Guide and private vehicle meet at Cairo Airport for the full day programme.
The standard programme covers the Giza Pyramids Complex, the Great Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Optional additions include the Egyptian Museum, the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, and the Saladin Citadel. The WOW Team coordinates all flights, Cairo transfers, and guiding as a single package.
Prices vary by group size, season, and domestic flight availability. Flight prices are confirmed at the time of booking. Contact the WOW Team with your travel dates for a full itemized quote including flights. See the Luxor Tours page for full availability.
A sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Luxor West Bank departs before dawn and gives an aerial view of the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, and the West Bank farmland as the sun rises over the Nile. The flight lasts approximately 45 minutes to one hour, subject to weather conditions, and is available year-round.
The WOW Team arranges hotel pickup, West Bank transfers, balloon flight, and hotel drop-off as a single private programme. The balloon can also be combined with a full West Bank day tour on the same day.
The Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple takes place after dark and walks visitors through the temple precinct by dramatic light while narration covers the history of the pharaohs who built the complex. The Avenue of Rams, the Hypostyle Hall, and the Sacred Lake are all illuminated during the show.
The show can be booked as a standalone evening excursion or combined with a daytime Karnak visit. The WOW Team arranges all tickets, hotel transfers, and private vehicle. Multiple language shows are available on selected evenings.
All Luxor day tours are available daily throughout the year. East Bank and West Bank tours have flexible start times and can depart as early as 6:00 AM. The Dendera and Abydos day tour departs at 7:00 AM to allow adequate time at both sites. Kom Ombo and Edfu and the Aswan day tour depart early morning to manage the driving distance. Cairo day tours depart subject to domestic flight schedules. The WOW Team confirms your preferred start time, hotel pickup, and full itinerary when you send your travel dates.
Overnight tours from Luxor are available for destinations that require more than a single day or where the driving distance makes a day trip impractical. Every overnight tour from Luxor is 100% private with a Professional Egyptologist Guide, private vehicle, hotel accommodation, and all entrance fees included. Domestic flights are included on tours that require them. The WOW Team coordinates all transport, hotels, and guides across every destination.
An Aswan overnight adds one night in Aswan to give time for the full Aswan programme including Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, the Aswan High Dam, the Nubian Museum, a Nubian Village by felucca, and the Philae Sound and Light Show, a programme that is not possible in a single Aswan day trip from Luxor.
An Aswan and Abu Simbel overnight covers both Aswan and the Abu Simbel Temples over two or three days, including the Abu Simbel Sound and Light Show and the complete Aswan monuments programme. Available by road or domestic flight between destinations.
A Cairo overnight by domestic flight gives two full days covering the Giza Pyramids Complex, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Egyptian Museum, El Moez Street, Khan el-Khalili, the Saladin Citadel, and Old Cairo including the Hanging Church and Coptic Museum.
A Cairo and Alexandria overnight extends the Cairo programme over three days by domestic flight to include the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, covering the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Citadel of Qaitbay, the Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa, and the Corniche alongside the full Cairo programme.
A Kharga Oasis overnight travels west from Luxor by private vehicle through the Western Desert to Kharga Oasis, the largest of the Egyptian Western Desert oases and the closest oasis to Luxor. The programme covers the Temple of Hibis, one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples in the Western Desert, the Bagawat Necropolis with its early Christian painted chapels, and the Kharga Oasis Museum. Available as a two-day one-night overnight from Luxor.
A Hurghada Red Sea overnight travels east from Luxor by private vehicle through the Eastern Desert to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast, approximately two hours from Luxor. Suitable for visitors who want to add a Red Sea beach night to their Luxor programme without a separate Red Sea package.
Prices vary by overnight programme, group size, transport option, hotel category, and season. All overnight tours include a Professional Egyptologist Guide, private vehicle, accommodation, all entrance fees, and all transfers. Domestic flights are included on tours that require them. Contact the WOW Team with your travel dates and preferred overnight programme for a full itemized quote. See the Luxor Tours page for full pricing and current availability.
Luxor day tours can be combined with nights in Cairo, a Nile Cruise, or a Lake Nasser Cruise as part of a complete Egypt holiday. The WOW Team builds a full Egypt tour package by duration or Egypt travel package by category combining your Luxor programme with any of the following:
Cairo and the Pyramids
Add nights in Cairo before or after Luxor to visit the Giza Pyramids Complex, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the Egyptian Museum. A domestic flight connects Cairo to Luxor in approximately one hour.
Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruise
A Luxor and Aswan Nile Cruise is the most natural extension of any Luxor stay, sailing south to Aswan with stops at Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple. Prices start from $600 per person. Departures from Luxor every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Dahabiya Nile Cruise
A Dahabiya Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan on a traditional sailing boat with a small number of private cabins offers a more intimate experience than a standard Nile cruise boat. Prices start from $900 per person. Departures from Luxor every Monday.
Lake Nasser Cruise and Abu Simbel
Combine your Luxor programme with a Lake Nasser Cruise from Aswan to Abu Simbel. The WOW Team connects both cruises with private transfers in Aswan. Prices start from $900 per person. Departures from Aswan every Monday.
Add Nights in Aswan
Add nights in Aswan to visit Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, the Aswan High Dam, the Nubian Museum, and a Nubian Village by felucca.
Add Nights in Luxor
Add extra nights in Luxor to complete the full East and West Bank programme, the Dendera and Abydos excursion, and the Karnak Sound and Light Show in one complete Luxor stay before continuing to Aswan or Cairo.

Clear tips for Egypt tours including daily planning, site visits, guides, transport, and how to organize efficient day trips.
Our Luxor tours are private tours for you and your group or family only. You do not join other travelers. Each tour is arranged with private pickup and drop-off, a private modern air-conditioned vehicle, a private driver, and a private professional Egyptologist guide.
Depending on the selected Luxor tour, the program can include East Bank visits, West Bank visits, temple visits, tomb visits, lunch, entrance tickets, Nile crossing by motorboat, and internal flights when required. Always check the inclusions on the tour page before booking because each Luxor tour has its own program, route, duration, and included services.
View available private Luxor tours here: Luxor Tours, Trips and Excursions.
Choose your Luxor tour based on the sightseeing area and time available. The East Bank usually includes Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum, and the Mummification Museum. The West Bank usually includes the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Queens, Valley of the Nobles, Medinet Habu Temple, Ramesseum Temple, and Deir el-Medina.
If you have limited time, book a half-day Luxor tour for one side of the city. If you want to visit both sides, book a full-day Luxor East and West Bank tour. Some special tombs, such as Seti I, Ramses V and VI, and Tutankhamun, require extra tickets and should be requested before confirmation.
